Jobsite Safety


Workers in our industry experience more jobsite-related injuries and illnesses than average, a fact that is reflected in occupational data. Figures released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2018 show an annual injury and illness incidence rate of four cases per 100 full-time workers in the landscape services industry, compared to an incidence rate of 3.1 for all industries combined. Landscaping crew members work with dangerous chemicals, heavy equipment and sharp tools, at heights and near electrical hazards, water and excavations — all risk factors that can lead to incidents.
