The Landscape Industry Certified Technician-Exterior Exam Now Offered Online

FAIRFAX, Va. (February 4, 2020) – The National Association of Landscape Professionals has announced that the Landscape Industry Certified Exterior Technician exam is now available online, enabling anyone to access it from anywhere. The prestigious certification tests an applicant’s knowledge in all the technical aspects of exterior landscaping, including installation, maintenance, and irrigation.

Previously, the Landscape Industry Certified Exterior Technician test was administered in two parts, as a written and hands-on test that was available in only 15 states. Now, landscape professionals in all 50 states can take the exam from their home or office.

“By moving the exam to an online format, we are providing equal access to every landscape professional to enhance their career and bring value to the companies they work for and to their clients,” said Britt Wood, NALP CEO. “NALP is committed to advancing the professionalism of the industry as a whole and to working with our state partners to promote certification as a cornerstone of that effort.”

Using interactive online technology and a variety of question formats, the exam covers the same subject areas as were covered in the previous exam.
