NALP Offers Special Online Version of 10-Hour OSHA Construction Course for the Landscape Industry, Nov. 3-4 and Dec. 3-4

Space is limited to 40 participants for each course

FAIRFAX, Va. (October 15, 2020) – The National Association of Landscape Professionals announced that, through its partnership with the OSHA, they are able to offer a special online videoconferencing version of the 10-Hour OSHA Construction Course for the Landscape Industry.

Now, for a limited time, due to COVID-19, OSHA has given approval for NALP to offer an online version of the course via Zoom. The course will be offered on:

Nov. 3 & 4, 2020 - 8:00 am–2:00 pm ET, and
Dec. 3 & 4, 2020 - 8:00 am-3:00 pm  ET (Dec. 3) and 8:00am – 12:45 pm ET (Dec. 4)

“This is a great opportunity to get in-depth safety training for team members, conveniently online,” said NALP CEO Britt Wood. “We appreciate OSHA’s willingness to make this possible during COVID-19.”

The 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Course has become the standard industry safety and health training for those working on commercial and residential job sites. The course provides owners, supervisors, project managers, and field employees with in-depth information on safety topics specific to the landscape industry.

The 10-Hour Construction course developed by NALP is tailored to the landscape industry and is delivered by OSHA-certified landscape industry trainers.

The course provides basic training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards in addition to information regarding workers' rights and employer responsibilities.

Attendees will need to take the course on a computer with a webcam that is connected to the internet (cell phones cannot be used to take the course). Students must be visible on-screen during the entire 10 hours of instruction to comply with OSHA requirements. Attendees will receive an OSHA-issued course completion wallet card and an NALP certificate.

The cost is $150 for NALP members and $250 for non-members.
